Earlier this month, Invidia Salon and Spa, 736 Boston Post Road, had a surprise visit by PBA Symposium event personnel along with a film crew, which presented the business with a crystal trophy for their most prestigious award

The salon was declared the winner of the Elite Salon of the Year for Growth and Excellence for its continued success in building the business

The Symposium Awards are worldwide awards, which include 34 countries, and are presented every two years at a formal ceremony at the Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. The Symposium awards are regarded as the Beauty Industries Premier Awards. Around 10,000 people from around the world at the Mandalay Bay Casino and Hotel Theater attend the show.

Out of over 100,000 Redken salons in the world, only 230 salons qualified for the awards, and out of those 230, only a select few salons out of each geographical region receive nominations. For the Northeast USA Region, Invidia Salon and Spa received the coveted nomination.

The award Invidia won is considered the most prestigious and difficult award to achieve by industry standards due to the competition and the economy.

On Jan. 15, the salon owners will be closing the shop and flying its entire salon staff to Las Vegas to formally accept the award.
